John Gentile is an associate at Kim IP. Mr. Gentile’s practice focuses on all phases of trademark prosecution, trademark and copyright, infringement, licensing, litigation and counseling at Kim IP and represents a broad range of clients from individual business owners to publicly-traded companies in various matters both domestically and abroad.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Gentile worked as an associate at a Harrisburg law firm where he represented institutional clients on intellectual property, licensing, contract, regulation, and litigation matters. Prior to that, Mr. Gentile worked as an attorney for five years in Silicon Valley, representing international corporations in software licensing, infringement, trademark, and other intellectual property matters.
Mr. Gentile received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the Pennsylvania State University and his J.D. from Santa Clara University – School of Law, where he was an editor for the High Tech Law Journal and received the High Tech Law Certificate. During law school, Mr. Gentile interned at Yahoo! and Synopsys, focusing on UDRP proceedings.
Aside from his years of work experience, Mr. Gentile is an active member of the Chester County Bar Association and a member of the Pennsylvania Guardian Monitor Program. In addition to being a dedicated professional, Mr. Gentile is an avid record collector and can talk about the Rolling Stones for hours.
