Michael Tier is an Associate at Kim IP. Mr. Tier’s practice focuses on all phases of trademark procurement, clearance, counseling and enforcement, including trademark litigation, and cancellation and oppositions proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Tier worked for prominent law firms and in-house companies since 2006 as a senior trademark paralegal. Concurrently with his full time employment, Mr. Tier obtained his law degree from Widener University Delaware Law School.

Mr. Tier has been an active member of a variety of associations including the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, the Benjamin Franklin American Inn of Court, and Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers of the Arts.

Outside of work, Mr. Tier has a passion for creating music, writing short stories, reading, and spending time with his wife and many pets.
