Robert Colby is a registered patent attorney and an Associate at Kim IP. Mr. Colby has been practicing general civil litigation for more than ten years and is an experienced software consultant having consulted leading academic researchers on machine learning, generative AI, neural networks, large language models, and big data. His consulting experience includes assisting primary investigators at top tier universities with project analysis, original coding solutions, large data set retrieval, and software review.
Mr. Colby earned his BS from University of Oregon in Political Science, his JD from Rutgers School of Law, and studied Software Engineering at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. In addition to practicing law, Mr. Colby enjoys endurance running events, spending time with his family, and providing pro bono litigation services to indigent clients through the Judicare program.
