Michael Donnelly is a patent attorney and litigator at Kim IP, with extensive experience handling intellectual property matters in federal courts and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He has briefed and argued cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and has litigated a wide range of patent and other IP disputes nationwide. In addition, Michael counsels clients on protecting and enforcing their intellectual property portfolios, including securing patent, trademark, and copyright registrations in the United States and internationally.

Michael previously practiced at boutique intellectual property firms, including Rothwell Figg in Washington, D.C., and Rogers & Killeen in Alexandria, Virginia, where he litigated and prosecuted intellectual property rights on behalf of clients across diverse industries.

During law school, Michael completed a full-time externship with the Honorable Paul R. Michel of the Federal Circuit, gaining valuable insight into appellate decision-making and federal intellectual property jurisprudence.
