Ron is a transactional intellectual property attorney, as well as a published author of a book on licensing, written for the general public. His expertise involves combining business strategy with licensing, transactional IP, and legal opinion work.
He worked as an associate at the New York law firms of Dewey Ballantine and Pennie & Edmonds, in the areas of licensing, IP agreements, litigation research and support, and patent & trademark evaluations. Additionally, Ron consulted as an attorney in in-house departments at MetLife Insurance, JP Morgan & Co., and V.N.U. USA, a market research company (merged with ACNielsen). He presented a CLE at the New York County Lawyers Association in 2013 in the area of IP legal issues in social media.
He has also worked in branding and digital media, consulting primarily for small businesses as well as law and finance firms in the areas of website production, branding & content strategy, and investor & marketing presentation. He worked in two startup ventures in the Wall Street industry, and draws from resources in the venture capital and hedge fund communities to leverage business relationships.
Ron holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he was an editor on the N.Y.U. Law Review. He is admitted to practice law in New York State. His interests include film, TV and all types of creative & artistic works. He was a theater co-producer on a number of shows, including an Off-Broadway production.
